Dipawali 2024

Religion Desk, New Delhi. Diwali has special significance in Sanatan Dharma. On this day, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and Lord Ganesha are worshiped. Along with this, Kuber Dev, the god of wealth, is also worshiped. Religious opinion is that worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, increases income, happiness and good fortune. Apart from this, money related problems are removed. This festival is celebrated every year on the Amavasya date of Kartik month. However, this year there is a dilemma about the date i.e. the correct date. After a lot of brainstorming, the astrologers have given their decision. This makes it clear when Diwali will be celebrated. Come, let's know the correct date of Diwali, Puja Math of Shubh Muhurta-

When will Diwali be celebrated in Kashi?

On October 15, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust Council, Shri Kashi Vidvat Parishad, Panchangkars, Dharmashastra scholars and Astrologers of Banaras held deep brainstorming and discussions in the Astrology Department of Sanskrit Dharma Vidya Dharma Vigyan Faculty of BHU regarding the date of Diwali. After this, the astrologers decided to celebrate Diwali on October 31 (Diwali 2024 Shubh Muhrat). Giving more information about this, Ramchandra Pandey said that the Amavasya date of Kartik month will start before sunset on October 31 and will end one Ghati after sunset on November 01. For this, Diwali will be celebrated on October 31. There is no dilemma for this in the classical method. This scriptural rule applies to those places where Amavasya will end one Ghati after sunset on November 01.

When will it be celebrated in Ujjain?

Diwali (Diwali 2024 Date) will also be celebrated on October 31 in Baba's city Ujjain. Regarding this, Pandit Mahesh Pujari of Mahakal temple says that Bhasma Aarti is performed at four in the morning on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Diwali is celebrated at this time. For this, Diwali will be celebrated on 31st October in Mahakal temple. At the same time, Deepotsav will be celebrated during Pradosh Kaal in the evening on 31st October at Sandipani Ashram, the place of education of Krishna ji.

Pt. Anand Shankar Vyas, Astrologer says that Diwali is a festival celebrated during Pradosh Kaal and midnight. This time on 31st October, Amavasya will be witnessed during Pradosh Kaal and midnight. Therefore, it will be best to celebrate Diwali on 31st October itself.

Giving more information about this, Pandit Amar Dabbawala, Astrologer said that there are two methods prevalent in Indian astrology, first Graha Laghaviya, second Chitra Ketaki method. Calculation of festivals is considered best by Graha Laghaviya method. From this point of view, celebrating Diwali on 31st October is absolutely appropriate.

Dispelling the confusion about the date of Diwali, Astrologer Pandit Girish Vyas said that it is best to celebrate Diwali on 31st October this year. According to the local Panchang calculation, the Amavasya date of Kartik month will start on 31st October at 03:52 pm and will end on 01st November at 05:13 pm.

Dr. Mohan Gupta, President of Ujjaini Vidvat Parishad, said that the difference is seen due to increase or decrease of one or two Ghati (24 minutes) in the date. Due to this, there is a situation of difference in the date of celebrating the festival. This difference of opinion is due to the difference in place and the time of rising and setting of the Sun God and the difference in scriptures. Under the Graha Laghavi method, Diwali will be celebrated on 31st October.
